Presented by CWAG & Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Yavapai College. Presenters: Gary Beverly, PhD, Ed Wolfe, PhD, and Peter Kroopnick, PhD. The Prescott Active Management Area ( covering Dewey, Prescott Valley, Prescott, Chino Valley and unincorporated areas in Yavapai County) relies on groundwater to support our homes and commerce. Because we pump too much groundwater, our stored water supply is shrinking and some wells are going dry. In this course, we will describe our groundwater aquifers, how they are changing, the implications for the long-term future, the management practices used by the Arizona Department of Water Resources . What role can we and our local government entities play? Bring your questions.
