April 2024 Arizona Abortion Access (AAA) News

Last year the Arizona for Abortion Access Campaign (statewide) announced they already had more than 250,000 signatures to put access to abortion on the November 2024 ballot! We are waiting for an update.

The Yavapai County Arizona for Abortion Access Team (quad-cities of Prescott, Prescott Valley, Dewey and Chino Valley) reports volunteers have collected over 2,400 signatures.

Our volunteers from the Democratic Women of the Prescott Area, Prescott Indivisible, the YavDems and many others, have been an important part of getting here. Help us collect the next 250,000 signatures even faster!

PLEASE - Pick up (and return!) your petitions. Once you have filled your petitions, be sure to return them ASAP so we can return them for verification and processing.

WHEN PEOPLE ASK WHERE TO DONATE:

  • Donate to the National Network of Abortion Funds or donate to your local fund or local funds across the country (in red and blue states).  These are the groups that will be helping people arrange and pay for travel, make clinic appointments, and support them through the process of getting to care in the states where abortion is still legal.

  • Donate to the Repro Legal Defense Fund and support the amazing lawyers who are fighting to protect reproductive autonomy, and will keep people out of jail.

IF ANYONE YOU KNOW NEEDS AN ABORTION IN A STATE WHERE ABORTION IS NEWLY ILLEGAL

If they need/want reliable information about abortion and other sexual/reproductive health topics all in one place, download Euki for free (on the App Store and Google Play) If they need financial or logistical support to travel to a clinic, find and contact a local Abortion Fund

If they want to (or need to) self-manage abortion with medications, these organizations can help: SASS (secure, confidential information and support for people self managing abortion)
